Educational Visit to the China Maritime Museum: Y4

18 May 2015

Re: Year 4 visit to the China Maritime Museum

Dear Parents/Guardians,

Year 4 will be visiting the Maritime Museum on Thursday 28 May to learn about explorers. The museum offers the children a chance to have hands on experience about what it was like to be a maritime explorer.

We will be leaving school at approximately 9.15 am and returning to school in the afternoon in time for the usual end of day arrangements. We will travel by private school bus and ensure that children are wearing seat belts.

Students who normally have school lunch will be provided with a packed lunch on the day. All other students will need to provide their own lunch. You may pack an additional drink and small healthy (nut-free) snack should you wish to.

Students will be required to wear uniform as normal on the day, but should wear comfortable walking shoes.

We would like two parent volunteers from each class to support us on this day. Please your child’s class teacher know if you would like to volunteer.

We will ensure that children are closely supervised at all times so they can be safe and have lots of fun learning. If you have any questions about this educational visit, please do not hesitate to contact me.

Yours sincerely,

Nick Jones

Head of Year 4
