This September, 82 Grade 10 students and 7 teachers travelled to Cantabria to prepare for the interdisciplinary eAssessment in Individuals and Societies and Languages.

While there, they explored the region, learned about its history and conducted considerable research, all of which deepened their appreciation of the potential human impact on nature. They also explored the forests and hills near La Vega de Liébana, took the cable car to the Picos de Europa at Fuente Dé, hiked down to Mogrovejo, kayaked on the Deva River and learned to live together outside the walls of ICS.

The students comported themselves impeccably and were excellent ambassadors for our school. They also worked hard to organise their groups to guarantee that the quality of their various presentations was high. As well as the vital preparation for the interdisciplinary eAssessment, we hope they can now look at each other, and themselves, in a different light thanks to this trip.
