From classroom learning to world-class universities

For our student Víctor D., that journey led to an unforgettable STEAM experience at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology last November.
A global STEAM opportunity
Víctor was selected as ICS’s winner of the Nord Anglia STEAM competition, earning a place on an exclusive trip to MIT alongside students from Nord Anglia schools worldwide.
During the programme, students took part in hands-on workshops, lectures with leading researchers and collaborative engineering challenges that offered a real insight into university-level learning at one of the world’s top institutions.
Learning that inspires future pathways
One of the highlights for Víctor was working on a zero-gravity engineering project. Students learned how engineers test materials and batteries in weightless conditions and designed experiments that were later tested in flight.
Experiences like this helped Víctor understand what studying engineering at university truly involves and strengthened his ambition to pursue this pathway in the future.
