The scholarship programme aims to inspire students to strive for their best during their (i)GCSE examinations while supporting the school’s ethos of preparing students for future academic and personal success.

The scholarship programme is open exclusively to ISM students who complete their (i)GCSE examinations. Scholarships will be awarded based on the cumulative points achieved in a student’s best nine (9) (i)GCSE subjects. Points are calculated as follows:

  • CIE Examinations: A* = 2 points, A = 1 point
  • Pearson Examinations: Grades 8/9 = 2 points, Grade 7 = 1 point

Scholarships offer the following tuition fee discounts for Year 12 based on total points:

  • 18 points: 50% discount
  • 16 points: 40% discount
  • 14 points: 30% discount

Applications will be reviewed in March, and academic interviews will follow shortly after. Final scholarship decisions will be confirmed in August upon the release of the official (i)GCSE results.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • Can the scholarship be combined with other discounts or financial aid?
    No. The scholarship cannot be combined with other financial aid programmes or annual discount. It applies to Tuition fees only and is not applicable to lunch fees.
  • What happens if a student qualifies for a scholarship but withdraws from ISM after Year 12 begins?
    In such cases, the scholarship benefit will be prorated to the time the student remained enrolled at ISM.
  • What are the expectations on the application letter?
    The letter (one A4 page, maximum) should be written by the student. The letter should be addressed to the student’s future self, describing how the student managed to achieve the (i)GCSEgrades which resulted in themreceiving the scholarship award.
  • Can students apply for the Scholarship Programme if the school fees are paid for by a company or third party?
    Yes, although no financial award can be given for corporate payments. Students who achieve the ISM Scholarship will receive a letter from the Principal and a Scholarship Certificate to assist with university applications. 
  • Can applications be submitted after the deadline date?
    No, thedeadline is final, no applications will be reviewed ifsubmitted after this deadline.
