The goal of this year’s ‘Anti-Bullying Week’ campaign at The International School of Moscow was to teach students the positive and kind things that can be done every day to halt hurtful behaviour in its tracks.

Recently, we celebrated this years' edition of our popular Primary Maths Bee.

The International School of Moscow held its first-ever Virtual Whole School Speech Day, beaming out across our campuses, Moscow and the world via ‘YouTube’.

Following on from the success of the Rosinka Mental Maths Bee last year, we held the first-ever whole school Mental Maths Bee for Years 1 to 6.

This term, the Department of Modern Foreign Languages hosted the annual Russian Poetry Recital Competition for Year 3 and Year 4 students.

On Friday 19th March, we celebrated Red Nose Day at The International School of Moscow in style! Rosinka was decorated from top to bottom in red, and everyone got into the comic spirit by wearing red noses, dressing in red and sharing silly 'red' jokes.

ISM Rosinka students have immersed themselves into the written word by each focusing on a class novel that has stimulated their creativity and curiosity. With books ranging from Roald Dahl classics to new takes on beloved fairytales, such as Goldilocks and the Three Dinosaurs, a love of books has been easy to inspire.

Recently, students of ISM Lower Campus wandered through a universe of literature for a whole week of celebrations. The children were delighted to spend time getting to know their favourite books in more detail than ever before. It was a joy to see so many children absorbed in the world of books!

During February, ISM Rosinka hosted their first ever Virtual Talent Show. Fifteen students from Year 1 to Year 6 competed in our annual event, ‘ISM’s Got Talent’.

We are very proud of the array of talents that our students have to offer at ISM and we love to celebrate this. Even in the midst of the coldest of winter month the warmth came through in each of our Talent Show performances.

Krylatskoe Lower Campus beamed live to countries across the globe with the audience enjoying fifteen wonderful performances, showcasing some incredible skills, from ice skating to gymnastics to singing.

Christmas is the magical time at The International School of Moscow and every campus has its own way of celebrating the festive season.

The week beginning 9th November marked the start of our annual Anti-Bullying Week. Our message this year was 'United Against Bullying'.

The morning of Friday the 26th of June 2020 will also live long in the memory of all members of our school community as it was our first ever Virtual End of Year Celebration.

World Book Day was celebrated in Upper Primary this year with the theme 'Dreamland'. Our students enjoyed the opportunity to come to school dressed in their bedtime clothes and share their favourite stories to read before bed!

This year, International Week on Upper Campus was based around the theme of 'Democracy'. Students from Year 5 to Year 13 researched different aspects of democracy and explained why it is so important.

On Friday the 8th of February, seventeen students from Year One to Year Six competed in the annual ‘ISM’s Got Talent’ event. They sang, danced and played a whole range of instruments in the hope of becoming the 2019 winner.

The afternoon of Thursday 7th February will live long in the memory of those who witnessed Upper Primary’s ‘ISM’s Got Talent’. The audience were treated to a wonderful range of singers, dancers and musicians, displaying their incredible skills.

The week of Monday the 5th to Friday the 9th of November was truly International on all of ISM’s campuses. Children were transported all over the world as class teachers all chose a country for their pupils to focus on for the week.

A fine evening of music performed by the staff of ISM Music Department plus special guests. The event was in aid of, ‘Heart for Melisa’ and ‘Diema’s Dream’. Both parents and staff donated generously and thoroughly enjoyed the talent displayed on the night.
