School productions are back at the International School of Moscow with Year 6 students leading the way with their version of “Alice in Wonderland” on our Rosinka Campus this month. Not only was it the first school production held in almost three years, it was also some students’ first time ever performing on stage.
This musical version of the timeless classic took us down the rabbit hole with the ever-so-curious Alice, the Mad Hatter, the White Rabbit, the Blue Caterpillar, the Mock Turtle, the King and the Queen of Hearts, the mysterious Cheshire Cat, and many many more of our favourite characters from Lewis Carroll’s beloved book, all dressed up in bright and vibrant costumes.
The students have all been working extremely hard this half-term, and we could not be more proud of them. They have all shown incredible resilience when taking on extra roles in the play, learning their lines and lyrics to the songs, performing three days in a row. It was heart-warming to see them come together and work as a team, helping and supporting each other.
It was absolutely incredible seeing so many parents, family members and students who came to watch the show and support our Year 6 students, who have put so much effort into making this musical. Thank you all so much for your unwavering support and for sharing this wonderful moment with us.
Special thank you to everyone who took part in prop making and setting up the stage, it looked absolutely magical! Furthermore, it is impossible not to mention the efforts of our music maestro Mr Marshall — 10 marvellous songs were performed from start to finish with aplomb.
Very well done to our Year 6 students for delivering such an excellent performance, one that will be a treasured lasting memory of their time at Rosinka campus.
