Spectacular! Charming! Absolutely brilliant! So adorable! – these are just a few kind comments provided by the lucky viewers who had an opportunity to see our Christmas themed Production.

The story of Snowy the Polar Bear begins just like all great Christmas tales – in rather grim circumstances, however, everything changes the moment Snowy finds a poster announcing a peculiar competition – the Elf Bowling Championship of the World! He decides to try his luck in this exciting adventure in hopes to win ‘a hot seat’ in Santa’s sleigh for the upcoming Christmas night.

Children thoroughly enjoyed taking on their roles; besides Snowy there were many well-known and beloved characters from animated films or stories such as Woody the Sheriff, Elsa, Maui, Rudolf the Red-Nosed Reindeer, Frosty the Snowman and, of course, Santa Clause. Our special set of Christmas Elves and ‘Snowballs’, who worked extra hard on their choreography and movements, stole everyone’s hearts. Of course, the performance would not have been complete without hard working narrators and competition announcers who had to learn so very many lines and deliver the story on a superb level.

Snowy the Polar bear offers a selection of all-time favourite Christmas songs, including a custom-made version of ’12 days of Christmas’, which was especially challenging for our little performers to learn, but the final result brought many laughs and smiles in the audience.

Our little Year 1 and Reception students have worked extremely hard to put their Production together. This show was their very first stage performance and (to quote Frosty the Snowman) no doubt ‘a very scary moment’ for them. They have just had their first stage success, but I believe, it would be fair to say, they all have become our rising stars and I am sure we will have many more brilliant performances from them in the future!

Our special thanks go to Ms Antonik for providing excellent musical accompaniment and countless hours of singing rehearsals, Ms Likhareva and Ms Tolstykh for their consistent encouragement and support, and, of course Mrs Drake for orchestrating all of the parts and directing it all into one big beautiful winter fairytale.
