The Talent Show was a great opportunity for students to showcase their hidden talents and step out of their comfort zones. It also helped foster a sense of community as students came together to support one another and celebrate each other's achievements.
Students from Year 5 to Year 8 returned to Ivan Gromov Gymnasium for the return of a truly 'live' version of ISM's Got Talent. Over 200 students, including special visitors from Year 4 joined the performers, teachers and parents for a spectacular show of Music, Dance and even some magic! Over 40 students auditioned for a place in the grand final and it was extremely difficult to choose the finalists due to the quality of the entries. The International School of Moscow would like to give a special thanks to Year 12 student Artem Arshavin for hosting the event so professionally.
The ISM Rosinka Talent Show was nothing short of excellent! The school hall was filled with energy and excitement as students from all classes took to the stage to showcase their unique talents. From singing to dancing, playing musical instruments to solving a rubik’s cube, the performances were diverse and mesmerising. The audience were thoroughly entertained and the judges had a tough time deciding on the winners. 13 acts took part in the final, but who was lucky enough to take home the winner's trophy?
ISM’s Got Talent was a great success on Lower Campus with sixteen acts taking part. There were a variety of performances from magicians to dancers and from poets to singers. The students were very resilient and courageous to step on stage in front of a packed Lower Campus Hall. It was great to see parents, students and teachers in attendance. All the students who took part put a lot of effort into their performances and rehearsed several times. They should all be very proud.
The scoring on all campuses was very close and after the judges deliberations, here are the final results:

Research shows that confident students are more likely to succeed academically.
In fact, several science-backed studies cite self-confidence as the number one predictor of academic achievement. Researchers found that students with greater confidence were more willing to learn and challenge themselves. They were also more motivated, resilient, and capable of dealing with adversity.
At the International School of Moscow (ISM), our job is to build and nurture positive self-esteem in children. But what is confidence? And how does it affect academic performance?
