Dr. Oliver Squires

Physics Teacher
Dr. Oliver Squires - Dr Oliver Squires
Oliver believes that students are best supported and challenged in an environment of high expectations, where they have positive relationships with peers and teachers, feel valued, and make progress.

Having completed a PhD in Science, Oliver brings a strong academic background and passion for scientific inquiry to his teaching. He aims to make concepts accessible and support students in becoming better scientists who take risks, ask for help, make mistakes, and learn from them.

Oliver has worked in international schools in Australia, the UK, China, and Russia. He values the richness of international education, particularly the perspectives students bring to school life.

While academic challenge is important, Oliver believes students should grow in all aspects of school life. He is passionate about ISM’s strong pastoral care and helping students become thoughtful, responsible young people as well as successful learners.

In his free time, Oliver enjoys cricket, football, volleyball, travelling, and the surf. A ‘tragic’ Tottenham Hotspur supporter, he remains hopeful for better times to come.
