Since graduating in 2006, Katrina has worked in a variety of schools rich in culture and community spirit. After beginning her teaching career in London, England, she moved into international education, working in Vietnam, the UAE and Russia.
Having originally joined ISM in 2010, and now returning to the school, Katrina has had the unique opportunity to witness the growth and development of many of the students she has taught. It has been particularly rewarding to see students progress throughout their educational journeys, successfully graduate and move on to exciting new chapters in their lives.
Throughout her career, Katrina has always stood by the three ‘Fs’ in her approach to teaching: firm, fun and fair. She believes strongly in building positive relationships with her students and creating a classroom environment where they feel safe to express themselves, take risks and embrace new challenges.
Katrina is delighted to be joining the English Department, where she looks forward to sharing her passion for the subject, inspiring creativity and seeing her students’ confidence and writing abilities flourish throughout the year.
