Kristin Perera - Kristin Perera
She enjoys working with students and helping them build confidence through sport. She believes physical education is not only about fitness but also about teamwork, achieving personal bests, and developing healthy, lifelong habits.
 
She is committed to creating a positive, inclusive, fun, and supportive environment where all students feel encouraged to participate and challenge themselves.
 
She began her sporting journey as a young equestrian and swimmer. She has experience working with children in both school and sporting settings. Kristin has worked as a swimming coach at two prestigious international schools in Colombo, supporting students of different ages and abilities. She has also worked as a private tutor for Cambridge and Edexcel English Language and Biology, developing a supportive teaching approach tailored to individual needs.
 
As a former national and two mile open-water swimmer, she understands discipline and commitment and enjoys sharing these values with students to build confidence and perseverance.
 
Originally from Sri Lanka, Kristin enjoys swimming and other sports. She was part of her school football team and continues to play football and paddle as part of her regular routine. Outside of work, she enjoys travelling, spending time by the ocean, and experiencing new cultures. She is grateful and excited to be joining ISM and looks forward to supporting students in fostering confidence and a love of sport.
