Donovan is an enthusiastic secondary teacher who began his career in Thailand 10 years ago. He has lived in 7 countries, but has fallen in love with Russian culture, and now calls Moscow his home. He has also taught in South Africa and Hong Kong.
Donovan believes that every student is unique, has limitless potential, and belongs in a community connected by love and empathy. He encourages learning to be fun, student-centred, and relevant.
The values of compassion and challenging oneself are evident in his classroom and personal life. Students in his classes are given the opportunities and encouragement to progress according to their own capabilities.
Donovan enjoys health and fitness and is an avid rugby fan from South Africa. In his spare time, he loves to surf, snowboard, swim, and go to the gym. During the holiday, you will find him riding a motorcycle through Vietnam, climbing a mountain in Indonesia, or exploring tropical beaches on remote islands.
