Year 1 Teacher
Ms Alexandra Giles - Ms Alexandra Giles

Alexandra joined ISM in the beginning of 2019. Since then she has been primarily working in the Early Years Department in various age groups including Pre-Nursery, Nursery, Reception, as well as Year One.

Alexandra is a strong believer in children's holistic development across all areas of learning. She believes that Early Years is a perfect time for children to start developing their core qualities for future success and personal well-being. Children's learning is the most fascinating process and finding a key to each child is Alexandra's favourite challenge.

Alexandra considers Forest School ethos to be one of the key elements that should be applied to young children's education and development. Making mistakes while feeling safe is extremely important, hence, why providing adequate and positive risk-taking opportunities for young learners is a crucial part in Early Year Education. Dualism of consistency and surprise must find its way into young children's daily lives in order to make creative thinkers with a strong level of resilience. Creating highly skilled free thinkers with excellent interpersonal skills is what we are striving for in Early Years at ISM.
