Since qualifying in the United Kingdom as a Science teacher in 2002, Angela has enjoyed working in international education for nearly 12 years, in regions which include the Middle East, Africa and South East Asia. More recently she was able to return to Europe and work in Spain where, together with her husband bought a little 'cortijo' which they are reforming for their future retirement.
During her time in international teaching, Angela has been privileged to lead Science departments and teach Science to students from a spectrum of backgrounds; from Qatari royalty through to students from Malay working families. However, irrespective of family or cultural background, Angela believes that all young people can be inspired to love learning Science: "My passion is to relay this enthusiasm to my students here at ISM. To achieve this, one must engage in a personalised approach to teaching and learning, in order to attain academic excellence and produce life-long learners who are equipped to contribute to life in an ever-increasing global community".
When relaxing, Angela likes to be creative with her drawing and painting, knitting and crochet, pottering in her garden and reading murder mysteries: "I am looking forward to another year at the International School of Moscow discovering more international friends and sharing my love of learning with my students"
