Camila moved to Russia from Colombia in 2014 to make her dream come true: teaching Spanish in a foreign country.
Teaching languages has the immense power of bringing people together and opening a world of new experiences and opportunities, that's why she believes that being a language teacher is helping students develop the skills to communicate effectively and confidently in another language so they can build meaningful relationships with people from different backgrounds and have access to more enriching life experiences. In order to do so, Camila believes it is essential to incorporate a variety of teaching techniques and educational resources to accommodate different learning styles and ensure all students have a positive experience when learning the language. Camila encourages active participation in class, as well as creative expression, fostering an atmosphere in which students feel motivated to speak Spanish.
Besides teaching, Camila enjoys ballet, classical music concerts and museums, as well as spending time in nature hiking, cycling, paddle surfing and kayaking.
