Over the last months, we have worked closely with the American Chamber of Commerce and Glasswing Panama to partake in their San Miguelito Leadership Program. The program's aim is for organizations in the private sector to offer mentorship and training to leaders in public schools in San Miguelito, and benefit children through education and community development.

This month we were proud to open our doors to the Directors, Sub-Directors, and Teachers from sixteen schools, the Regional Director of San Miguelito, and the Program Director of Glasswing. This will be the first of several meetings where their directors visit to exchange knowledge and best practices with our team.

During this initial visit, participants received an introduction to our school, our curriculum, and our educational philosophy. Our Head of School, Academic Director, and Human Resources Manager spoke about the MET, how we integrate international and local curricula, and safeguarding measures in staff recruitment. They were also able to tour our school to learn more about the strategies we use in the classroom to enhance student learning.

The following week our guests returned for sessions on responsive classrooms, taking initiatives and planning for success, as well as a workshop on our model for inclusion. These sessions will were led by our Elementary School Leadership Team, our Director of Finance and Operations and our EEP Coordinator.

It has been an honor for us to open our doors and share strategies with peers in schools locally. Upon closure of this initial visit, we received humbling feedback from the participants, stating how, from the moment they entered our school, they were enveloped by a feeling of warmth and a welcoming spirit. We were commended for how our values evidently permeated throughout our school culture and the participants were eager to return for the following sessions.

We are thankful to count with this new alliance with Glasswing Panama, as we share a common vision to support the youth of our country and impact communities through education.
