Founded in 2012, MET International Day is an annual event that celebrates the diversity of our school and is firmly established as one of our popular school traditions. Every year this fantastic event provides an opportunity for our entire community to connect, celebrate, and embrace the rich tapestry of cultures that make the MET so special.
This year, over 1.000 members of our community, past and present, enjoyed a truly magnificent day of festivities. Through a presentation of stalls, we were able to look at the cultures on offer, sample some of their popular foods, and travel in an original way in seconds to these amazing countries through stands beautifully decorated by our MET community. Families from all over the world, from the USA, Europe, South America, Asia, and even Africa, are part of the MET. This amazing mix is what makes us unique. Because of it, we can all learn from each other's experiences and grow together.
We welcomed our MET Family – students, alumni, friends, and especially our international community – to celebrate the rich tapestry of 49 nationalities that make up our vibrant school.
The 11th International Day was a resounding success! The fair was filled with activities, performances, and delicious food from different countries. We were entertained by very talented students, staff and parents in the main lobby throughout the day and the outdoor areas were transformed into fun areas for our younger members of the community to have fun and make new friends. It was truly a day to remember with unforgettable #metmagicmoments.
A heartfelt thank you goes out to everyone who made this day possible: those who donated, contributed, and participated. We especially want to express our gratitude to the amazing MET Parent Council for their tireless time, effort, and hard work. Their contributions are what make the MET International Day such a magical event.
The MET International Day is a cherished tradition, and we are already looking forward to celebrating with you all again next year! It's a powerful reminder of the strength and joy that comes from embracing diversity and fostering a spirit of community.
