Joshua Mycroft

Joshua Mycroft

Head of 6th Form & GCSE PE Teacher

Mr Mycroft is a strong leader and believes that every child should be challenged to exceed their individual potential, and so is keen to develop and reflect this through the KS5 curriculum, university applications and career guidance for our senior students. 

About 

Mr Mycroft joins BSY from the UK, where he taught PE and mathematics at Ashby School in Leicestershire.

He brings with him a passion for educational research in how cognitive science and instructional models affect teaching, learning and assessment. Mr Mycroft is a strong leader and believes that every child should be challenged to exceed their individual potential, and so is keen to develop and reflect this through the KS5 curriculum, university applications and career guidance for our senior students. 

Mr Mycroft has a keen interest in how school trips and expeditions foster the development of leadership, trust, collaboration, confidence and resilience by providing students with a range of challenges and real experience of the wider community and the wider world. 

In his spare time Mr Mycroft enjoys reading, the outdoors, playing rugby and winter sports.
