Dear Parents,

As we approach the Christmas holidays, I want to take a moment to thank each of you for your incredible support throughout this term. It has been a busy and vibrant time filled with special events, from the Mid-Autumn Festival and Diwali celebrations to the beginning of our Christmas festivities today with our Year 1 "Whoops a Daisy Angel" performance.

It is truly a privilege to witness the children settle in and grow over the term. They have made new friends and bravely tried many activities for the first time, and we are excited about further adventures in the coming term.

We are also grateful for our partnership with the Sai Kung Community Centre. Celebrating Mid-Autumn with them and engaging in exercises and planting activities has enriched our students' experiences. Looking ahead, we eagerly anticipate the Chinese New Year celebrations, Sports Days, and Enrichment Week.

I would also like to take a moment to thank our PTA and our class coordinators for their support this term. From our Greening Project to providing the campus with a beautiful new Christmas tree, we are truly thankful for their generosity and contributions in creating a beautiful learning environment for our children.

A special thank you to our Year 1 students and teaching team for kicking off this festive week with a fabulous Christmas performance. It was heartwarming to see the children singing with enthusiasm and delivering their lines with such confidence. We also look forward to Nursery's performance tomorrow morning and Reception's performance on Wednesday morning.

To round off this wonderful term, we will have our Christmas Party on Thursday afternoon, where the children will enjoy dancing, crafts, games, and a very special visitor will arrive by sampan to meet all the children.

Lastly, our World Children’s Day Heart is up in our playground. Though it may seem like a simple piece of art, it holds a much deeper significance, symbolising our heartfelt commitment to ensuring that each child receives the best possible care and education every day. It reminds all of us of the support that surrounds our students as they grow and learn.

I wish you all a very Merry Christmas and a joyful holiday season.

Yours sincerely,

Ruth Hanson
