Primary Campus Weekly Update

Primary Campus Weekly Update - Primary Campus Weekly Update

Dear Parents,

What a fantastic day we had on Saturday! The weather stayed mostly dry and Kwun Tong campus was turned into a fun fair of stalls and activities. Thank you so much to our amazing PTA for their hard work and commitment in making the first ever Summer Fair so successful. Thank you also to all the teachers and students who supported in running stalls and participating as performers. Such a lovely day of community spirit.

We are delighted to share further details of our Primary International Day and following the success of the PTA Summer Fair, we really hope as many of you as possible volunteer to support this amazing day too.

NAISHK INTERNATIONAL DAY 2024
We are delighted to announce the 2024 NAIS International Day celebrations that will be taking place in each campus. International Day is an amazing opportunity to celebrate the diversity and multiculturalism within our school and it is always the highlight of the school calendar.

This year we will be holding International Day on a different day for each campus. This allows parents who wish to attend or support more than one event the opportunity to do so. Our Lam Tin International Day will take place during our Enrichment Week on Thursday 6th June.

We are really pleased that we are able to build on the success of last year’s International Day and are looking forward to this year having more countries represented. This involves setting up stalls in the school halls that represent nations within the school community. These stalls can have games, food and activities related to that country and children will have the opportunity to ‘travel around the world’ and experience and have a taste of each county’s culture and cuisine.

We are aware that many parents were unsure of what International day was last year and hope that the experience will encourage as many parents as possible to volunteer to support the school this year.

Please complete the form by Monday 6th May.

As you can imagine, it is important that we have equal representation for all nation stalls. We therefore cannot guarantee that you will all be able to represent your chosen nation and we may ask you to support a less well represented country. Thank you for your support with this.

We are so looking forward to this fabulous event and thank you all in advance for signing up and supporting one of the highlights of the year.

WEATHER WARNING
With so much rain last week, I think it best to remind parents about the EDB regulations regarding weather warnings. We will be notified as early as possible on the day should warnings be raised to prevent school opening in person for children. If school is closed to children for – Red Rain , Black rain or a T8, then we will move to optional virtual learning for primary students, with a live check in.
