πŸŠβ€β™‚οΈπŸŒŸ The Primary Inter-House Long Distance Swim is Underway! πŸŒŸπŸŠβ€β™€οΈ

This week saw the exciting start of our Primary Inter-House Long Distance Swim, with students already making a fantastic splash for their Houses! Every length swum is helping Houses climb the leaderboard while demonstrating incredible determination, resilience, and teamwork.

After Day 5, Sandringham is leading the way, followed by Windsor in second place, Balmoral in third and Caernarfon in fourth.

Even better, every mile completed in the pool will count towards our Global Games Sports Challenge total, helping NAIS Hong Kong contribute to the wider global challenge. 🌍πŸ’ͺ

A special shout-out goes to our first Star Swimmers, Nicholas F (6D), Vanessa L (3B) and Yolanda G (6A), who have made an outstanding start, swimming an incredible 1,625m, 1,050m and 1,400m respectively. Their dedication is setting a fantastic example for others to follow and showing what can be achieved when you challenge yourself and keep pushing for your personal best. βπŸŠβ€β™‚οΈβπŸŠβ€β™€οΈ

A special mention also goes to our Sandringham swimmers from 6B, who have collectively swum an impressive 7,850m (almost 5 miles!).

And here's something to celebrate! Together, our Primary swimmers have already covered an incredible 110 miles! That's equivalent to swimming the distance from Discovery Bay to Sai Kung more than four times!

Keep swimming, keep counting those miles, and keep earning points for your House and our Global Games challenge!

πŸ… Swim for your House. Swim for NAIS. Be a Star Swimmer. Every length counts! πŸ…πŸŒŸ

U11 Netball Fixtures

πŸŽ‰ U11 Netball Match Report
What a fantastic start to the season for our U11 Netball Squad! With opening fixtures against Shrewsbury on Monday 5th of October and Kellet on Thursday 8th of October the girls showcased everything that makes a great team: determination, resilience, teamwork, and outstanding sportsmanship.

From the very first whistle, the squad played with energy and enthusiasm, moving the ball confidently around the court with some excellent passing and communication. Every player contributed, supporting one another, working hard in every position, and demonstrating a real commitment to the team.

The highlight of both fixtures was the incredible team spirit on display. The girls celebrated each other's successes, encouraged one another throughout, and never stopped competing with smiles on their faces. Their positive attitude and willingness to put the team first were truly impressive.

Just as importantly, the squad represented the school with pride, showing kindness, respect, and outstanding sportsmanship towards their opponents throughout both matches.

These were two brilliant season openers and a wonderful platform to build on for the rest of the year. The future looks bright for this talented group of players, and we cannot wait to see what they achieve this season.

Congratulations to all the girls on an excellent start to the netball season. Two fantastic performances and plenty to celebrate! πŸπŸŒŸπŸ‘

U14 Boys Volleyball

The U14 Boys Volleyball team delivered a thrilling finish to the league stage with two huge wins ahead of the playoffs. Against SASHK, the Knights exploded out of the blocks, taking the first point after a fierce rally before Yash’s dominant serving run forced an early timeout. Strong defence, sharp attacks and ruthless pressure saw NAIS HK take the first set 25-13, before Hugh’s spikes, Yash and Jan’s setups, and Aden’s consistent serving sealed the second 25-16.

Then came the crucial playoff-position clash with rivals MCHK. After falling 4-0 behind, the Knights roared back, fuelled by huge sideline energy and clutch serving from Yash. Long rallies, momentum swings and tense timeouts made it a nail-biter, but NAIS HK held firm to win 25-19. In a tight second set, Kris’s serves set the tone before the Knights dug deep at 24-21 to finish 25-21. Gooooo Knights!

U14 Boys Football

The NAIS HK Knights secured a thrilling victory over KGV in a hard-fought encounter that served as the perfect warm-up ahead of next week's playoffs.

The Knights found themselves 2-0 down early but showed great character to regroup. Two quick goals, one from Sihoon and an own goal levelled the score before halftime. Alex struck the bar twice, while the KGV keeper produced two fine saves to deny the Knights further chances.

A tap-in from Alex put the Knights 3-2 ahead, but KGV equalised with 15 minutes remaining, setting up a tense finish. Sihoon then stepped up to secure the winner, and the Knights held on with determination to claim the victory.

The win sees the Knights finish 3rd on the table, a solid position heading into next week's crucial playoffs. With momentum on their side and a display full of resilience and fighting spirit, the team will be confident of making a strong push in the postseason.

U14 Girls Football

The U14 girls football team played their final league game of the season on Wednesday knowing a win would see them top the division and in a strong position ahead of the playoffs.

A physically big and strong opposition gave our team a new problem to overcome and competed from the first whistle.

With clear instructions to shoot when near the area, 2 powerful strikes from Kaia and Alicia saw an early lead only for the opposition to quickly respond to make it 2-1.

Going into the second half the team knew that continuing to play their natural game using space well and being confident in possession would see them win.

The goals continued and players started to increase their physicality out of possession.

The final score of 6-2 is a fair reflection of the game though the Kellet goalkeeper was certainly the busiest during the game.

Next stop - the playoffs!!
