Primary Campus Weekly Update 2 Nov 2026 - Primary Campus Weekly Update 2 Nov 2026

Dear Parents,

This morning I had a great meeting with our Parent Teacher Association, the PTA, which is part of our cross-campus partnership between the school and our parent community. We had representatives from all campuses, and it is becoming a great space to co-construct our school culture.

What marks out this partnership as impactful and positive is the advocacy on both sides to support our children to thrive in school, across every one of our campuses. At the heart of every successful school is a strong partnership between home and school. Our PTA plays a vital role in strengthening this connection, creating opportunities for families, staff and students to come together as one community.

Educational researcher Urie Bronfenbrenner highlighted that children thrive when the key environments in their lives, particularly home and school, work closely together. His research showed that strong relationships between families and educators have a positive impact on children's wellbeing, confidence, engagement and learning.

A vibrant PTA helps make these connections possible. Through community events, volunteer opportunities and collaborative initiatives, parents build relationships with one another and with school staff, helping to create a culture of trust, belonging and shared purpose. These connections support not only individual children but the wider school community.

When parents engage with school life, children see the adults around them modelling collaboration, service and commitment to a common goal. They understand that education is a partnership and that they are supported by a network of people invested in their success.

As Bronfenbrenner famously observed, every child needs at least one adult who is irrationally crazy about them. A child who is surrounded by a School and Parent Teacher Association that come together to help them thrive and be their best, is surely being set-up for success at all levels.

I am grateful to every family who contributes their time, energy and support to strengthen our school community and will follow-up this week with summary of our PTA’s work and how you can get involved.

I would encourage parents to join our PTA and if you have any questions, you can directly contact them on: PTA NAIS ptanaishk@gmail.com

Take care,
