Welcome back!
Welcome back to school and to the start of Term 3. We hope you and your families enjoyed a relaxing and refreshing break, and that our students are feeling ready and motivated for the term ahead.
Term 3 is always a rewarding time of year, filled with new learning opportunities, growing independence, and continued progress across all areas of the curriculum. Teachers have been carefully planning engaging lessons and activities that will challenge, inspire, and support every child. We used formative assessments over the year to-date, to determine provision for challenge and support in lessons.
This week, we are celebrating World Book Week across the whole school and there are a number of great new ways to engage our readers across school. I am sure that children will return home to share their favourite bits – a definite talking point this week at home.

Finally, as we work towards supporting the transition of children from Year 6 to Year 7, our Year 6 teachers will be taking their cohort to Kwun Tong this week. They have several engaging sessions planned that showcase the strength in specialist secondary provision in our school.
We look forward to working together with you, our parents, to ensure Term 3 is positive, productive, and enjoyable for all our students.
Chinese Battle of the Books 2026
We are delighted to share the success of our Year 5 and 6 students who took part in the International School Chinese Battle of the Books, and for the very first time, we had the privilege of hosting the event! A total of 11 schools participated, and we were honoured to be one of the two co-hosts. Schools that joined us included: Canadian International School of Hong Kong, Victoria Shanghai Academy, Invictus School Hong Kong, Kingston International School, and our very own Nord Anglia International School. We were thrilled to receive very positive feedback from the participating schools, who spoke highly of the warm welcome and smooth organisation of the event.

Our team of 14 dedicated students began this journey more than six months ago. In their own time, they read three captivating books: The Miracles of the Namiya General Store, The Little Prince, and Adventures in the Land of Clouds. Week after week, they came together to prepare — asking questions, sharing insights, and encouraging one another. Their commitment and teamwork were truly inspiring. On competition day, every member played an important role. Some took the stage to compete, while others served as ambassadors, assisted with scorekeeping, and two of our students took on the role of emcees, guiding the event with confidence. The atmosphere was electric, but our team remained focused and answered with confidence.
We are incredibly proud to announce that our team achieved 4th place out of 11 schools, earning a well-deserved Merit Award! To secure such a strong placement among so many outstanding schools is a fantastic accomplishment, and we couldn't be prouder of their hard work and dedication.
A heartfelt thank you to everyone who contributed to making this event such a memorable success.
