Sixth Form Centre Weekly Update 7 Sep 2026

Dear Parents,

As we enter our fourth week at the new Hung Hom Campus, the sense of excitement, ambition and purpose across our Sixth Form community continues to grow. Students are becoming increasingly confident with established routines and learning expectations, while staff are making full use of our outstanding facilities to deliver innovative, engaging and purposeful learning experiences.

I am very much looking forward to meeting many of you at our two upcoming events. The first is our Campus Launch Celebration on Thursday 10 September, which will provide an opportunity for our Sixth Form community to come together, celebrate the opening of our new campus, and build connections in a relaxed and informal setting.

This will be followed by our Year 13 Examinations and University Applications Webinar on Monday 14th September, which will provide students and parents with important information and guidance for the key milestones and deadlines in the weeks and months ahead. Please note that a similar webinar for Year 12 parents will take place later this month and invitations will follow in due course. As a reminder, the Campus Launch Celebration is a parent-only event, while the webinars are intended for both parents and students.

Our Higher Education Curriculum continues to provide students with a wide range of insightful and inspiring opportunities. Over the past week, students heard directly from the admissions team at King's College London, attended a guest lecture delivered by a Professor of Civil Engineering from The University of Hong Kong, and received individual portfolio reviews from specialists at LASALLE College of the Arts, Singapore. In addition, our Year 12 students participated in a session on applying to universities in Hong Kong, led by our University and Careers Advisor, Mr Chang, while I led a seminar on crafting highly effective personal statements with our Year 13 students.

This week's pastoral programme focused on the theme of peer support, offering practical strategies for students to support one another throughout their studies. Ensuring that our students feel safe, confident and happy remains our highest priority at Hung Hom, as we know that students thrive and achieve their full potential when they feel supported and connected. Through our daily tutor programme and complementary Futures Curriculum, student wellbeing remains at the heart of our provision, equipping students with the knowledge and tools to maintain positive wellbeing throughout their Sixth Form journey.
