Congratulations to NAIS Pudong’s Yoshiki, now in Year 12, who achieved an outstanding A* in IGCSE Mathematics.

Yoshiki joined our school in 2017 and has grown into a confident and reflective learner. His remarkable result is a testament to his commitment and the individualised support he received from his teachers, who spent dedicated time helping him practise with past papers and deepen his understanding through after-school mathematics activities.

Outside the classroom, Yoshiki is an active member of our community. He has served as a student leader and previously contributed to our Social Impact group, where he learned about the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals while developing skills in video creation and editing. These experiences inspired his curiosity about global issues and creative expression.

In 2023, Yoshiki also had the opportunity to attend the Nord Anglia trip to the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) in the United States. He described it as an unforgettable experience, particularly the chance to explore one of the world’s top universities and meet inspiring people along the way.

Yoshiki’s interest in architecture was influenced by his grandfather, who is an architect. He believes that buildings are symbols of human achievement, and this passion now guides his academic path. In the IB Diploma Programme, Yoshiki is studying Mathematics Analysis and Approaches Higher Level, Physics Higher Level, and Art, to strengthen both his technical and creative skills for a future career in architecture.
