One of the things we encourage of everyone who is part of the NAE family, whether that be students or teachers, is to be ambitious. That’s clearly what we witnessed at the JASIS competition: determined children with a great sense of sportsmanship. Congratulations to all of them and thank you to the parents for their support and encouragement.

NIS Jakarta swimmers take the honors at international schools competition NIS Jakarta swim team claims first place at JASIS competition

On Saturday 13th of May, the NIS Jakarta swim team claimed first place in the annual Java Association of Small International Schools (JASIS) Swimming Competition.

The 19 children who made up the NIS team first assembled for training just two months ago and have been training intensively twice per week from 06:45 to 07:15 in the school pool. Their victory at the competition, which was held at the Australian International School (AIS), owed so much to the commitment and hard work of the children themselves but also of the NIS staff who were involved, most notably Ms. Peppy, Mr. Joris and Coach Felipe, and with parent support from Ms. Ayu and Ms. Elizabeth

The students at NIS Jakarta are fortunate to be able to train in their own pool on the school campus which is located in a quiet part of the Kemang neighbourhood of South Jakarta.

NIS Jakarta recently joined the Nord Anglia Education family of international schools. Staff from the NAE Regional Office expressed their delight for all the children involved.
