Primary 3-4 and Groep 5-6 kicked off their new International Primary Curriculum (IPC) learning ‘What’s on the menu?’ by visiting ‘The Global Pancake’ a pop up pancake café at NIS International School Jakarta.

During the event of the Pop Up Pancake Café, the primary students were presented with a menu representing a range of pancakes from different countries, prepared by chefs who were the parents and delivered by teachers as waiters. This caused a lot of excitement and students enjoyed trying different pancakes. The experience is leading the students to develop questions and inquire into where food comes from, why cultures eat different foods, changes in farming and food consumption, then culminating in the students running their own pop up café.
