The Voice of Primary

03 december 2015

Christmas is coming and as the term ends, it is a good time to stop and take stock. We asked the children to reflect on their learning this term by asking the question:

“What are you most proud of learning this term and why?”

  • The voice of Primary

Enjoy reading only a small selection of the responses we received and I hope you enjoy them as much as I did!

‘Writing my stories because sometimes I can do only a capital letter at the start of a sentence and then remember to do my small letters’ Nick Y1

‘I liked debating about the war in Syria during Literacy because it was interesting to know how the war started and how people managed to travel to Europe’ Siri Y6

‘I was really proud to perform in my Assembly because I loved acting in front of people and memorising my lines.’  Yun Lung Y2

‘My proudest moment in Maths this year was completing all the calculations in the Lunar Project.  They were hard!’  Kaya Y4

‘I am able to draw a flower and write my name’ Emma Nursery

‘I loved our World War Two Showcase. I was so proud to teach my mum how to do something she didn’t know already’ Leela Y6

‘I was so proud when I did the map of Japan because we had to learn lots of things and look at the atlas to find where things are’ Vitus Y1

‘I loved finding out how to do fractions and division because it makes me feel really grown up’ Elle Y4

‘I was proud when the girl’s football team came back from a recent match and even though we didn’t win, everyone took part and we worked as a team’ Bethany Y5

‘I am most proud of myself about Maths because we’ve been learning about clocks and before I didn’t know how to read a clock but now I can’ Chih Chi Y3

‘I am able to log onto a computer on my own’ Julia Y1

‘I loved making bridges from paper and tape. I was proud I built a beam bridge and it did not break when I had 10 cars on it!  Christina Y2

‘I’m most proud of learning how to make Lino prints in Art and persevering to create my piece of art.  It took a long time!’ Felicia Y6

This term, I was proud of the village because we were all collaborating together and that’s why a beautiful village came’   Ruby Y5

‘I am most proud of my Science. I explained to my team during our investigation that tin foil reflected light. They tested my prediction and discovered I was right.  It was great because I helped them solve a problem of bouncing light’ Ivan Y3

This has been a term of exciting experiences for all the children.  Their hard work and engagement with learning is evident throughout the school. Well done to them all!
