The children had been so interested and enthusiastic when they have taken part in baking cakes and bread we decided to arrange a school trip to La Rive Des Pains bakery which has recently opened next to BISS. The morning children got to roll out some dread dough meet the chef and see the cakes for sale. The afternoon children got to see inside the kitchen and see the baker doing some elaborate baking which involved measuring and weighing. All of the children had a hot milk and pastry. To extend on from this learning the children are now working hard in our Early Years cooking area to prepare a special morning tea for parents to come and share after our Christmas show this week A big thank you to the parents who supported this trip and to our friends at La Rive Des Pains for being so welcoming and accommodating. I am sure you will be seeing a lot of parents and staff from BISS in the future and we wish you well in your new business.
