LITERACY

In Literacy this week, we will be creating and describing our own Superheroes. We will then to begin to create our own comic strips using exciting capitions. We will continue  to focus on using punctuation, sentences openers and adjectives.

MATHS

This week we will be learning what half means, and how to half numbers and shapes.  The children will learn that 2 halves are equal in size or value and when combined to make 1 whole.

THEMED LEARNING

This term our theme is  ‘All Dressed Up’  During our lessons we will be even more super than usual!

We will be thinking about Superheroes; the things they do, the things they wear and why their clothes are made of different materials.

We will look at designing our own superhero costume and think about what it is that makes us so special.

PSHCE

With many children joining our classes, we will be focusing on forming new friendships and helping our new friends to settle in. We will also be taking it in turns when talking to all of our friends about our exciting Christmas holidays.
