This week in Literacy the children be completing some research on our new themed learning topic – Rainforests. Over the next two weeks they will collate this infomormation into a report about rainforests. We will also be teaching the children about different types of sentences and teaching them to identify statement, question and exclamation sentences in the context of a report.
In Maths, the children will review their knowledge of number bonds to 20 and then learn how to use this knowledge to quickly solve more challenging calulactions. Over the holiday it would be very beneficial to your child’s progress if you helped them to learn by heart the different ways to make 20.
On the first day back we will be launching our new topic with a day of activities designed to inspire the children’s imaginations and help them to get excited about our new topic on Rainforests!
