LITERACY

In Literacy we will continue our two week unit on non-fiction, specifically fact files. Our topic this term will focus on different geographical locations. We will discuss and sort facts based on USA and we will then learn how to place these facts in to simple sentences.

MATHS

In Maths we will begin to work with doubling and halving. Children will work on doubling and halving numbers up to 10 and then progress to 20 as they become more confident.

STEAM THEME

Our theme across the coming weeks is ‘Around the World in 80 days’. We will venture to locations far and wide as we look to develop knowledge of where different locations are on a map, their key features such as climate, population and traditions. Our country focus this week is: USA.

COMPUTER PROGRAMMING AND DIGITAL LITERACY

We are continuing with coding for the coming weeks. The children will now look at inputting information with an increased independence. Within the unit the children will be looking at developing the movement of an object operated from the instructions that they decide.

PSHCE

This term our new PSHCE / well-being program will begin.  The first core value covered is collaboration.  This is the ability to work constructively with others, and children will learn to negotiate, to resolve conflicts, and to support agreed solutions. In doing so, they will strengthen their sense of teamwork and realise where they lack certain skills; which they can later hone.

Het podium staat klaar in de Nederlandse klas dus de voorstelling kan beginnen. Deze week .  We luisteren naar allerlei geluiden en bewegen op verschillende muziekgenres.  Met allerlei slaginstrumenten bedenken we zachte, luide, trage en vlugge ritmes. Kan jij ook muziek maken met je lichaam?
