To clarify, this should be for students who are in: Orchestra (Symphony Orchestra); Senior / Junior Strings; one of the choirs; Samba band; Jazz band. It is absolutely essential that all reply slips are handed in to either the Primary or Secondary reception by Tuesday 28th of November.

  • Don’t forget Festive Frock Day on Wednesday 13 December!

In literacy lessons next week, the children will be learning all about letter writing. We will be introducing them to both formal and informal letter writing styles and building on much of the great diary work they have been doing.

Letter, formal, informal, yours sincerely, yours faithfully, address

Over the coming weeks, we will be exploring fractions.  To help prepare students for these lessons, it would be useful to think about how we can divide objects into equal sections, and what happens when we take some of these sections away.

Numerator, denominator, fraction, part, section, piece

In THEME next week, the children will be developing their sketching skills, concentrating on form and proportion to draw a dinosaur.  They will use shading techniques to give their sketch a more 3 dimensional appearance.

Sketch, proportion, form, shading

With the Christmas period fast approaching, we will be talking to the children about the act of giving and the satisfaction to be gained from giving without the expectation of receiving.

Christmas, giving, charity
