    Hannah Sharp

    Nursery Class Teacher

    Hannah Sharp

Hannah completed a degree in American Studies and after spending a year studying in America, decided to spend a couple of years travelling. These experiences instilled in her a passion for experiencing new cultures and languages and led to her returning to university to gain her masters in East Asian Studies. As a result, she decided to move to Taiwan in an attempt to improve her Mandarin, but instead discovered a passion for teaching after teaching English at a kindergarten. After another year teaching in Spain, she returned to the UK to complete her PGCE. She has taught across all key stages but realised that she felt most fulfilled and challenged in Early Years. Hannah loves seeing the amazing progress children can rapidly make at this age and constantly strives for new ways to engage and motivate her students. For the last two years she has been a nursery teacher at a London primary school.

Hannah has loved working in London but feels ready for the next step in her career, and in particular a return to a region she has grown to love. She was inspired by the ethos of the Nord Anglia family of schools and is looking forward to teaching at BISS Puxi.

    Kelly Jay Glover

    Nursery Class Teacher

    Kelly Jay Glover

Having completed a BA (English) with majors in Psychology and Linguistics, Kelly was originally interested in pursuing a career in research. After voluntary work at BISS Puxi in 2016, however, Kelly fell in love with the idea of teaching. Deciding to make Shanghai her permanent home the same year, she has since worked here gaining invaluable experience across EYFS and KS2. Having originally worked as a 1:1 learning support teacher focusing on social and behavioural development, Kelly later focused on academic interventions with children. Being a person who loves change, though, Kelly decided that after two and a half years she was ready for a fresh start and transferred to class teacher. Her aims include boosting the basics and creating an encouraging learning environment.
