Key Stage 2: A colorful celebration of diversity

Find out about last Friday’s successful International Day at Primary School...The Nord Anglia Education Games are only three weeks away!... It’s still not too late to sign up for parent consultations and flu vaccinations, but please act quickly...There is now a dedicated wifi network for parents to use at school.

International Day

Last Friday was International Day- our annual, colourful celebration of the diversity of our community. It’s a fantastic chance for our students to get together to ‘travel the world’ by visiting different teachers to take part in activities that they had planned, all based around something culturally specific for a country, stretching around the globe. From Wales to Ireland, Ghana to New Zealand, the children got to take part in a range of crafts, games, cooking and art from some familiar and some new, exotic destinations.

One of the highlights of the day is always the International Day buffet in the Sports Hall. Huge thanks and appreciation goes to the amazing collaboration of our STA parent community who came together to produce another spread of epic proportions, which represented the gastronomic variety of the nations represented at STA. The feedback from everyone who was able to attend was full of praise. It’s days like this that help bring everyone together and help us all recognise how string a community we have at St Andrews

Nord Anglia Education U11 Games

Don’t forget, it’s only 3 weeks away until St Andrews will host the annual Nord Anglia Education U11 South East Asia Games. The Primary PE team are busy organising this exciting tournament for our U11 children. This is a fantastic opportunity for some of our athletes to complete on a wider scale.

While only a selection of students will be taking part, we would love to have a big support for our team which will hopefully be made up of parents, fellow students and teachers- all to give them a big STA cheer, hopefully on their way to victory.

The two day tournament- Saturday and Sunday- involves basketball and teeball. The basketball venue will be over at our High School in the new double Sports Hall, while the tee-ball will be held at Ramkhamhaeng University. This will be a fantastic opportunity for aspiring tee-ball and basketball players to come along and see what they could be involved in in the future. Any questions about the event should be directed to Mr Damon:

Reports & Parent Consultations

The Term 1 reports (and previous reports) are now accessible through Moodle, avoiding the complications that many parents had while trying to access them through the parent portal. Look for the reports icon on your Moodle parent homepage.

It’s not too late to sign up for consultations, if you haven’t done so already. If you would like an appointment on Tuesday 21st November, please look at the confirmed appointment spreadsheets to identify available times and then contact the class teacher to make the appointment for you. You can also email teachers to make appointments before or after school on different days.

Final Chance to Fight the Flu!

If you haven’t yet signed up for the flu jab for your children or you, you can still do so on Friday from 1pm.

Pay for the injection first before you pick your child/ren up from their class/es. You will need to complete and bring along the necessary medical forms to hand over to the cashier. Please be aware that last minute sign ups on the day will likely mean that you will need to wait longer for your turn to get the jab.

IMPORTANT: Everyone will need to take the receipt with you when you get in line for the vaccination. The colour of the receipt helps the medical team to select the appropriate dosage.
