I hope everyone enjoyed the long weekend. This is going to be an eventful four day homestretch to finish off the first term of this academic year.
Last Thursday there was a fantastic outdoor performance of Alice in Wonderland at the High School. This moved the audience around the school where different scenes were acted out with the main characters changing in a very creative way. Well done to everyone involved! It certainly was an excellent start to our dramatic performances at the High School.
Last week the Christmas spirit really abounded at the Primary School thanks to all the carol singing to start the morning, followed by Early Years and Reception Christmas shows. These performances and Christmas costumes really inspired everyone to get involved in all the singing and fun. Santa Claus popped in for an early delivery of Christmas presents to these year groups.
This week we look forward to the Christmas fairs and music concerts held at the Primary School on Wednesday and the High School on Thursday. For Primary, the Y3 and Y4 concert will be held from 1.30 to 2.30 pm, and the Y5 and Y6 concert will go from 4.00-5.00 pm, with both events happening in the Sports Hall. For High School, the Christmas Fair and Concert will start at 2:45pm and run until 5:30pm.
There will certainly be lots of exciting things happening throughout the week with all the different year group presentations and parties taking place.
I hope everyone has a really good holiday when the school closes at 1.00pm on Friday 15th December. I would like to wish everyone a very happy Christmas and prosperous New Year. I hope our whole school community has chance to meet family and friends, relax and have a very enjoyable time.
I look forward to welcoming everyone back to school on Monday 8th January 2018 fully rested and ready for an exciting Term 2.
