Annual General Meeting
The Annual General Meeting for the Parent Teacher Group (PTG) will be held on Thursday, 30 May 2019 in the Primary School Drama Studio at 08.15 a.m. and all parents are cordially invited.
An important part of the AGM is the election of the PTG Committee. The Committee currently consists of 3 Officers (Chair/Secretary/Treasurer) and 10 Members-at-Large whose roles can vary according to their own interests and the changing needs of the PTG.
This year, only 4 of the members of the current committee are standing for re-election, which means that we have several vacant positions. If you are interested in being part of this dynamic group of parents, please send a brief bio and picture of yourself before 6 May 2019 to firstname.lastname@example.org.
While the PTG’s work is all done on a voluntary basis, we do ask for motivation and commitment. This includes attending and contributing to monthly Committee and termly PTG meetings, and it includes taking on various tasks within the team. We especially welcome keen event organizers and planners, as the PTG traditionally organizes parent activities (e.g. sport, dance, Thai lessons), International Day, the Christmas Fair, and Fun Day. Ideally, we would love for the PTG to represent the diversity of the school, with candidates of different cultures and backgrounds. We are also looking for a balanced mix of Primary School and High School parents.
Please get involved and help make a difference.
Grand Raffle Draw
You can find the list of winners on Moodle. The PTG Committee would like to thank everyone who generously donated prizes and to everyone who bought tickets.
All proceeds from the raffle go to the PTG, which supports various student projects throughout the year. In the past we have provided funding for Prom (both Y12 and Y6), carnival game gifts for school or charity events, and the drinks sold by students as part of their fundraising activities for Tanzania. We’ve offered the use of our chocolate fountain and we now have two popcorn machines. We are sponsoring sustainable water bottles for an upcoming Model United Nations event held at STA. We present a gift to each member of the graduating class. And we organize the Summer Party.
