Foundation Stage & Key Stage 1: A sporting chance

ECA and sports programmes are now in session at St Andrews International School Bangkok...Let’s aim to improve the flow of traffic while also improving the air quality around Primary School…The Soi 20 entrance to Primary could soon be closed permanently.

ECAs and the Sports Programme Begin this Week

We doubt the children need reminding that ECAs begin this week, along with a full Sports Programme.  With so much more on offer than ever before, we are looking forward to a busy and varied Term 1.

Once the programme is underway, please make sure that you always keep the Transport Department informed of any changes to your usual arrangements as early as possible so that they can update their lists in time for the end of the day.

Improving Traffic Around the Primary Campus

We have been studying the traffic flow during the day in the main car park to try and come up with some solutions to the congestion issue. In the coming weeks, we will be revealing some new systems in regards to traffic flow and parking to help make the mornings and afternoons easier for everyone who uses the car park.

In the meantime, everyone who uses the car park, whether for parking or pick up/drop off, needs to get a new parking sticker from the school office. To get one, you first need to add your car registration details on Moodle (up to 3 cars). If you have a driver, you will also need to add their name and telephone number. When you come to collect your sticker, the office will confirm that you have entered your details correctly before handing over the sticker.

*The old parent parking stickers (blue) will no longer be valid after Friday 27th September. Everyone who uses the car park must have a valid sticker.

Please note that all day parking is not permitted in the school car park. Parking is limited and we ask you to be respectful of all users.

Creating a Healthier Car Park

To help keep the car park a healthier space for everyone who uses it, please do not leave your engine idling. If you have a driver, please speak with them about this issue too.

Access by Pridi 20

Currently, we have access to the Primary Campus through the Blue Gates on Pridi 20. However, due to a high number of cars parking in the area and causing obstructions to local residents, this option may be removed, forcing everyone to use the access on Pridi 20/1.

To ensure that we can keep using this entrance, we ask that Pridi 20 is used for drop off/pick up only. Parents/drivers must not park on Pridi 20 or on any of its sub-sois. We are carefully monitoring the situation and will be contacting the owners of any vehicles found to be parking in the area.

Speedy Drop Offs

An easy way to help the traffic flow in the local area is to be prepared for a speedy drop off in the morning. To help make your morning drop off as quickly as possible, please make sure your child has all of their belongings with them in the car. Having to go around and collect items from the boot/trunk takes valuable time and causes traffic to build up.
