Hitting the Ground Running! - Principal's message

I am pleased to report that we have had an incredibly successful start to the term. There are lots of smiles around the school at the moment and I would like to thank you personally for helping us to make the first week a pleasant experience for all.

All staff have been working incredibly hard to settle in your children and as I have walked around the building, I have already noted students working incredibly hard in their lessons. A particular highlight for them has been our new pirate ship in the playground. Avoiding the temptation to have a go on the slide myself, it has proved a massive hit with our students, and some staff too!

It has been fantastic to meet so many families in the past week. I would continue to encourage you as much as possible to pop in to say hello, and also make yourself known to me if you are dropping off your child in the morning. Our Mee t and Greet event is taking place on Tuesday 1st September, and I would encourage you to attend so you can have a chat with your child’s new teacher and learn a little more about what makes our school special.

Finally, I would like to thank students, staff and parents who have made me feel so welcome. I
already feel at home and have settled into the role. My fiancée, Hannah, and I are looking forward to making Beijing our permanent home and sharing in the community approach that our school encourages.
