The children have been investigating where seeds come from in a fruit and vegetable sensory tray. They were scooping out seeds using different tools which supported the development of their fine motor skills and we were also learning the names of the different fruit and vegetables. This led onto the children planting beans; we’ve been looking closely at the changes and looking after our bean plants by watering them every day.

There has been a variety of artwork created during this topic so far. We’ve been focusing on using a range of tools to make marks, such as paintbrushes, forks and celery stalks! The children have also produced beautiful sun catchers using flower templates and tissue paper.

Tadpoles have been developing their maths skills during this topic by counting flowers and sorting flowers by colour and size.

Have a look at all the wonderful learning taking place in Tadpoles!
