Chinese update

  • Chinese lesson

Year 5 Lama Temple group learnt the story “The Ugly Duckling”. They understood the Chinese version and also learnt that they could not give up on themselves when facing ridicules.

Year 4 Lama Temple children challenged themselves with speed reading. They were really excited and were very proud of themselves.

Year 3 Forbidden City learnt how to express one’s feelings when they feel: angry, happy, hungry, tired or so. Children practiced the words and phrases by acting them out. The children enjoyed it very much and memorized the words quickly.

Year 2 Great Wall children learnt a song “我喜欢喝果汁” (I like to drink juice) and created their own movements for this song.

Reception Lama Temple and Summer Palace children learnt about friendship. They played the Chinese outdoor games “丢手绢” (Drop the Hankerchief) and “找朋友” (Find a Friend). It was a lot of fun!
