The Elephants had fun getting green fingers!

As a class we set ourselves the challenge of investigating the question - “Do plants need water to grow?”

We worked collaboratively to plant our cress seeds. During planting we discussed what we thought would happen to our seeds – we made a prediction! To keep the test fair the children decided that they must keep the cotton wool, amount of seeds and place where they kept the seeds the same. The difference would be that one pot was given water and the other did not.

After a few days, the cress seeds started to grown and the Elephants could answer their investigation question – “Yes, plants do need water to grow!”
