I look forwarding to meeting you all at our ‘Meet and Greet’ event and working alongside your children. The school year has already started beautifully with the children arriving at school on time, dressed smartly and eager to learn. I have been particularly impressed by the warm welcome the new staff and children in our phase have received from returning children. The children are fully encompassing our philosophy of being kind to others.
Upper Key Stage 2 in particular is a chance for your children to take on more responsibility within the school community. Therefore, we expect them to be role models to other children and of course, ‘Be Ambitious’! I look forward to seeing them set high standards for others to follow. They will be able to apply for roles of responsibility and I encourage every child to do so. Year 6 will be able to apply for ‘House Captain’ or ‘Sports Captain’ and both Year 5 and 6 will be able to apply to become ‘Playground Leaders’. I look forward to seeing every student in our phase academically achieve, personally succeed and reach their full potential in what I know will be a very successful year. Please do say hello if you see me around the school and do not hesitate to contact me if I can be of assistance.
