Swimming is a very enjoyable activity for children, but it is also of vital importance to their personal safety. The children will find themselves near bodies of water throughout their lives and the skills they learn as children will develop into life saving techniques.
The children are having fun, while also doing one of the best forms of cardiovascular exercise. It will require the boys and girls in KS2 to use many of the muscles in their body. It is a great opportunity to build strength and endurance and is beneficial for metabolism and the cardiovascular system.
