Pre-Nursery Jellyfish Class Teacher

I come from a long line of teachers, and so growing up we had a small pre-school on our property; watching my mom teach and inspire young children instilled in me a love for children and their education. After school I went to the USA to work at a summer camp, where I coached gymnastics and then while studying my honours degree in Psychology in Johannesburg, South Africa I au paired young children.

While my career started in the corporate world, I was always pulled in the direction of teaching and so I made the decision to make a career change to follow my passion. I studied Early Childhood Development and have never looked back!

I have since taught pre-school in a private school in Johannesburg for two years and then I took up the challenge of moving to China, where I have been for over two years (first in Shijiazhuang then Harbin).

I am so excited to be joining the BSB Sanlitun family and to bring the skills I have learned along the way to guide the children in their education journey. I love working with young children because they view the world so differently to adults and we can just have fun, in a loving environment where they feel safe to express themselves in various ways.

I am an outgoing, fun-loving person who enjoys travel and doing creative activities, such as drawing and painting in my spare time. I look forward to partnering with the rest of the BSB team and parents to create the best possible learning environment for the Early Years children.
