I always knew that I wanted to have the same positive effect on children and make a difference in their lives. Whilst studying to become a teacher, I worked part time as a Maths and English tutor, tutoring children from 4-14 years old. I have worked as a Reception Teacher for the past 3 years and spent an additional year in an Early Years setting when completing my university training. I graduated from the University of Nottingham with a Postgraduate Certificate in Primary Education. My previous degree was in Childhood Studies which further developed my understanding of child psychology and sociology.
I feel honoured to join the team at The British School of Beijing, Sanlitun and I am extremely excited by the incredible learning opportunities it offers. The extensive curriculum, Global Campus and the promotion of a ‘Be Ambitious’ attitude are just a few of the many factors that attracted me to this school. I hope to share my passion for learning with the children at BSB Sanlitun and will strive to make their learning experiences fun and memorable.
Outside of school I love to travel and experience new cultures. I am an adventurous person and like to take on new challenges. I cannot wait to explore Beijing, learn more about its incredible history and make new friends. I love animals and hope to visit the giant pandas. I enjoy trying different cuisines and finding new places to eat. I have heard that Beijing is a great place for this and I can't wait to find out!
