I completed my four-year Bachelor of Arts, Honors program at York University in Toronto, Canada before I completed my Bachelor of Education at Tyndale University College. As soon as I graduated, I was eager to take on a new adventure and challenge myself to teach in another country, which is why I applied for my first teaching position in an inner city school in London, UK.
The following year I taught across both key stages through long term and short time supply. After having a thrilling and insightful teaching experience in the UK, I decided to take on a new adventure to further build my practice and as well immerse myself in a new culture, as teaching and travelling has become a great passion of mine.
I’ve always had an interest in experiencing new cultures, seeing teaching on a global perspective and collaborating with people from all over the world. Teaching and travelling allowed me to accomplish this. Teaching in London with all of its diversity has taught me to be more aware and to sympathise with the students from different cultural backgrounds. This experience has inspired me to become a more global citizen and to expand my global awareness. Aside from teaching and travelling, I enjoy staying active by training.
