University Degree: BA (Hons) Psychology; PGCE with QTS
I am an ambitious and versatile Psychology graduate with a Postgraduate qualification in Primary Education. I qualified as a teacher in Newcastle, England, a city close to my hometown Carlisle. I have since thoroughly enjoyed working across a diverse range of schools in Cumbria and Newcastle to instil confidence, ambition and a life-long love of learning.
My love of teaching is inspired by my love of learning and it is important to me that every child’s spark of genius is ignited and every child’s efforts and talents are valued and encouraged. My aim as a teacher is to provide all children with a fun and positive learning experience, in which their achievements are celebrated and their motivation fostered. Teaching to me is about inspiring every child to believe in themselves to be brilliant individuals that can achieve anything when they put their minds to it.
I enjoy meeting new people and immersing myself in different cultures, which is why I seized the opportunity to begin my teaching journey at BSB Sanlitun, an incredible opportunity to work within a global campus, alongside inspirational teachers, whilst exploring new places. I have never worked abroad before so this struck me as a once in a lifetime opportunity that I will openly embrace and cherish for the rest of my life.
I come from a small family and have one younger sister who I am incredibly close to. My mother is my biggest inspiration and has always encouraged me to work hard and follow my dreams. In my spare time I enjoy cooking and exploring new recipes, keeping fit and going on adventures with my friends. I am a big thrill-seeker and would love to go skiing and sky diving one day.
