Year 4 Cranes Class Teacher

I qualified at age twenty after successfully completing my Bachelor’s Degree in Education from Roehampton University, London, in 2011. I started my career in a one-form entry school in London as the Year 5 teacher. I then lived in Melbourne, Australia, for one year working as a supply teacher. For the next three years, I was the Year 3 Leader and Literacy Leader in a four-form entry international school in Qatar. I recently completed a Master’s Degree in International Education from King’s College London in collaboration with Nord Anglia Education.

I am very excited to work here at BSB Sanlitun! I want to explore Beijing (and China!) and continue the next chapter of my adventure.

I was born and raised in the quiet suburbs of London. I grew up in a family of six, in which I was the eldest child. I was given the responsibility of caring for my siblings from a reasonably young age and I believe this led to my decision to become a teacher.

Outside of work, I am a keen sportsman, playing for local 11-a-side football teams as well as playing 7-a-side regularly with work colleagues. I love all things technological and would be lost without my computer but I often give them all up to relax with a good book. I am an adventurous soul and have always wanted to see the world and I am very lucky to be able to travel.
