Upon graduating at Roehampton University with a BA Hons in Primary Education, I worked in the United Kingdom before moving abroad to engage in new teaching experiences in Australia, Qatar and now China. I have worked across the Primary age range and held various leadership positions including Maths Lead, English Lead and Academic Lead. To develop myself further, I undertook and completed the Nord Anglia Middle Leadership Programme and completed a Master’s in International Education, with King’s College London. I think that everyone can always learn more - even adults! I am now thrilled to be the Assistant Head of Primary at BSB Sanlitun, where I get to help shape the curriculum we offer for our students and support teachers in delivering an outstanding education offer.
I have always loved travelling and wanted to teach in China to experience another new culture. BSB Sanlitun appealed to me due to its diverse student population which promotes a truly international experience for the children within it. I hope to inspire, challenge and engage the children within my class.
I love anything creative and I am always looking for new skills to pursue and develop. I have developed skills in cake decorating, calligraphy, crochet and painting - to name a few! My favourite thing to do is sing, although I can be quite shy in front of other people! That said, I love doing karaoke with my friends and family at home. The best thing about living abroad is meeting so many new people from different cultures and getting to travel the world, but the worst part is being away from my sister. My family is really important to me so I love visiting them in the UK during the holidays. I think I’ve inspired them all to travel more, which I think is great!
